If you are getting this message on Windows 2008, make sure you do the following so that the dynamic memory feature works:

* Install SP2
* Update the Hyper-V drivers (Hyper-V integration services)

If it still doesn't work, install the hotfix listed in the additional links, this should fix the issue.
